Specialists of ENPASELE\u0421TRO LLC joined the round table \"The Role of Universities in the Post-War Reconstruction of the Hydropower Sector of Ukraine\", which was held at the Lviv Polytechnic National University with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event brought together representatives of higher education institutions and leading enterprises in the energy sector of Ukraine to jointly discuss ways to restore and modernize Ukraine's hydropower potential. The main focus was on practical market needs: modern skills for the energy sector, training of engineering personnel, and development of research in the field of hydraulic engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specialists of ENPASELECTRO LLC made a report on the strategy for restoring the energy system of Ukraine, focusing on the importance of restoring existing energy facilities and developing plans for the development of the energy system of the future using world experience and the specifics of Ukraine. Also, the main attention was paid to the restoration and modernization of hydroelectric power plants and hydroelectric power plants. At the request of representatives of the higher school, proposals were made to increase the efficiency of training young engineers for faster adaptation in the restoration of the Ukrainian energy sector using advanced equipment and technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representatives of the universities of Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne, and Ivano-Frankivsk spoke about their research in the field of hydraulic engineering and water engineering to increase the efficiency of hydropower facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A number of discussions were held with the roundtable participants, including with Dr. Peter Novak, Associate Professor of the Department of Hydraulic Structures at the Czech Technical University in Prague. Mr. Novak expressed interest in developing further cooperation with Ukrainian hydropower engineers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taras Popadynets, Chairman of the Board of the NGO "Geothermal Ukraine", spoke about the prospects for the implementation of geothermal projects and their integration into the Ukrainian energy system. The results of previous studies and a map with possible locations for the use of disused mines were presented - for the purpose of installing heat pumps and turbines for generating electricity with a capacity of 1 to 5 MW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was useful to discuss with representatives of the Lviv Water Utility the problems of operating water supply facilities during power outages. They exchanged views on the importance of improving the water utility's dispatching system and developing backup sources of electricity for pumping stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such meetings form not only a space for knowledge exchange, but also stable platforms for long-term partnerships. They contribute to the renewal of educational programs, the involvement of students in practical training, and the integration of innovative solutions into the educational process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
